Polite Behavior Starts Here
It’s Never Too Late for Your Dog to Learn. Living with a dog who pulls on leash, jumps on guests, or ignores cues can ware on you as a dog parent. If you’ve been living with these behaviors, it can feel like they’re here to stay—but they don’t have to be. Real change is possible.
Our programs for adolescent, adult, and senior dogs are designed to teach new habits and help your dog become more calm, confident and behave reliably. When we train, we focus on practical skills that improve your everyday life together and incorporate your training goals.
Support for You and Your Dog
We help adult dogs experiencing challenges such as:
Pulling or lunging on leash
Jumping on people
Ignoring cues or difficulty focusing
Overexcitement around guests or distractions
Difficulty settling at home and impulse control
Life skills and general manners
Positive Training That Gets Results
Our training is based on positive reinforcement and modern behavioral science. We focus on teaching dogs what to do, rather than relying on fear or intimidation. This approach helps dogs feel confident while building trust between dogs and their families.

“I couldn’t be happier with the training my Black Lab, Whiskey received! Mark was incredibly patient and knowledgeable, tailoring techniques to suit his personality and energy level. Labs can be a handful, but with Marks guidance, he’s now well-mannered, responsive, and a joy to be around. I especially appreciated how he used positive reinforcement, which kept Whiskey excited to learn. Highly recommend The Polite Dog to anyone looking to train their pup effectively!”
